Collective Youth Theatre
New Jersey's Premiere High School Theatre Program
Some of New Jersey’s finest young performers from across the Garden State come together to perform some of the finest works for the stage. In addition to performance opportunities, CYTC provides master classes and workshops with some of Broadway’s finest performers including Capathia Jenkins (Martin Short’s Fame Becomes Me), Andrea Rivette (Jekyll And Hyde, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables), Charles Pistone (Les Miserable), Kimilee Bryant (Phantom of the Opera) and Roosevelt Credit (Porgy and Bess) just to name a few.
Through its pulsating rock score and emotionally charged story, BARE has thrilled and moved audiences around the world since its first staging in LA over a decade ago. A contemporary rock musical, BARE follows a group of teens wrestling with issues of identity, sexuality, and religion at a co-ed Catholic boarding school. Provocative, raw, and unyielding in its exploration of how today's generation navigates the tightrope between adolescence and adulthood, BARE examines the consequences of baring a soul-or hiding it from those who matter most.
